Although PWCS is unable to provide instruction or class assignments to students while schools remain closed, our School Division hopes that the suggestions for optional learning activities posted here will help parents support student learning until schools re-open. Please remember that use of these materials and participation in these activities are optional and neither grades nor course credit will be awarded.

Mrs. Tersigni

Welcome to 8th Grade Language Arts with Mrs. Tersigni!

A little about me- I come to Rippon Middle School from Palm Beach, Florida. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and certification for Secondary English and ESOL, in 2010. I've taught everything from 1st grade to 8th grade.  Teaching middle school language arts is my absolute favorite subject because I love to teach novels and writing. My favorite unit to teach is poetry. This is my third year teaching ELA at Rippon!

Language Arts encompasses a multitude of disciplines including reading, writing, speaking and listening. My class is jam-packed with information crucial to my students' success, therefore requiring a great deal of effort and determination. This year we will be learning many new topics while simultaneously expanding our prior knowledge. Please refer to this page for any additional resources that may benefit you throughout the year. Additionally, I encourage you to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns at any time.

Let's make this year a great one!
