Requirements for In-County Student Registrations:

Students who currently attend or recently attended a Prince William County (PWC) Public School and will be moving to a new PWC school zone, will need to take the following steps to enroll at the new school:

-Provide a copy of your driver’s license or other government issued ID

-Complete and sign enrollment packet for In-County students.

-Provide proof of new address which must include a lease, deed/mortgage statement, and/or Affidavit of Residency, plus any two (2) of the following documents (with the same address)*:

  • Driver’s License
  • Utility Bill (or hook-up appointment notice)
  • Car Registration
  • Personal Property Tax Bill


For faster and/or same-day scheduling of your child’s classes, please make sure you’ve withdrawn him/her (in person) from the previous school. Bring any withdrawal paperwork the registrar gives you.  This usually includes a copy of your child’s withdrawal form, class schedule and report card(s).  If your child has an IEP, it will need to be reviewed well in advance of his/her first day of school.

*No student will be admitted without proof of their current address.



Requirements for New-to-County Student Registrations:

 

Students who are new or returning to Prince William County (PWC) Public Schools will need to take the following steps to enroll at the new PWC school:

 

-Complete and sign enrollment packet for New-to-County students.

-Present original Birth Certificate (we will make a copy)

-Provide most recent Immunization Records including proof of Tdap vaccine

-Provide proof of new address which must include a lease, deed/mortgage statement, and/or Affidavit of Residency, plus any two (2) of the following documents (with the same address)*:

  • Driver’s License
  • Utility Bill (or hook-up appointment notice)
  • Car Registration
  • Personal Property Tax Bill
