Welcome to U.S. History to 1865!
In this class we will examine the early history of the United States and develop historical thinking skills in analyzing primary sources. Students are encouraged to check this website frequently for updates to the calendar as well as additions to the "Files and Documents" folder.
How to Set-up Calendar Alerts:
If you would like to receive email alerts for items posted to your child's teachers' calendars, you may view step-by-step directions HERE
Please note: You will receive a separate email alert for each calendar you choose to subscribe to.
Using SOLPass for review activities and games: Go to solpass.org. Choose "Middle School" and then "U.S. History to 1865." When you are asked for a password, choose Rippon Middle School from the drop down menu and then enter the password you were given in class. Along the left side of the page you will see tabs that match our units. Click on the tab, and you will find review sheets and games to help you practice and review our curriculum.
Week of February 27:
This week we continue with Unit 5, New Nation -- learning about the government created by the new nation after the end of the Revolutionary War. I have added a new folder to the Files and Documents page for materials related to this unit. Please look there for copies of the unit title page, vocabulary lists, class notes and other review items.
Please make sure to bring your Social Studies binders to class every day and to stay organized!
