Instrumental Music Participation Fee Letter:
Parents and Students,
All band and orchestra students at Rippon Middle School will be required to pay a participation fee for the 2016-2017 school year. The fee will be used to cover essential materials and costs necessary for a quality instrumental music program to function and provide a superior education for all students. The fee will also cover the cost of the new music department polo required for all public performances. Please understand that Rippon is not alone in requiring a participation fee and that our fees are in fact much lower than most other schools in this region. Also know that the fee does not fully cover the true cost for each student.
All fees are due no later than Friday September 23rd.
6th and 7th grade- $30
Includes the new performance polo, method book, supplemental materials/music, and instrument maintenance and repairs (rosin, bow hair, and strings)
8th grade- $35
Includes the new performance polo, method book, supplemental materials/music, and instrument maintenance and repairs (rosin, bow hair, and strings), and district assessment costs (event registration and transportation).
