Dear Parents/Guardians & Students,

I cannot believe how quickly time has flown by. My due date is quickly approaching. I will be going on maternity leave starting on April 13, 2020, and I will be back before thasta he end of the school year.

In my absence,
Mrs. Graviss (GravisBS@pwcs.edu) will be covering me. She is a certified teacher who also teaches at Rippon. I feel confident that she will be a good fit to support you all during this time. She also has my contact information if any help is needed while I am gone.

I miss each one of my students, thank you all! For when I teach, I learn.

Stay safe!

Hasta pronto,
Señora Pérez

Hola estudiantes!

Two packets have been added to the "Homework" section to reinforce the first contents practiced at the beginning of the school year.

Besides, if you would like to practice and continue improving your listening skillsgo to the link below.

There, you will find short recordings about basic topics. You could try to make a list of the words you understood, cognates, false cognates or just write what you think the recording was about. Feel free to share your ideas with me.
Also, remember that in the section "Useful Links" you will find different web pages for you to visit and practice Spanish.

Hello Parents and Dear students,
I hope you all are safe and healthy at home.

I would like to let you know that in the section "Lesson Plans", you would find the Lessons studied before March 13th. Use those materials to review and complete any future non-graded assignment. Besides, in "Useful Links" you will find different web pages where you can practice and learn Spanish.

Please let me know if you have any question or concern to my email address perezde@pwcs.edu

Students, it makes me sad that I missed the opportunity of saying good-bye in person, but our well-being is first.

Señora Pérez

¡Bienvenidos to the 2019-2020 School Year!

Did you know Spanish is the second most spoken language in United States and around the world? Well, good news! You are about to be in a significant class.

This class will primarily be focused on communicating in the targeted language (Spanish). I will be using visuals, realia, body language, and using a natural but selective level of the Spanish language to make it understandable to you. Different strategies will be used in this class in order to develop your skills in Spanish. You will experience activities from listening to songs, watching videos to completing different projects.

This will be my twelfth year teaching and my second year teaching at Rippon...I have both high expectations and hopes to accomplish with you all this new year!

Keep Calm
