The High School Specialty Program Process is about to begin.  Mr. Davison is currently working his way through all the Language Arts classrooms to speak to students about the high school transition and the specialty program process.  Parents and students should note that the county is offering a County Wide Information Night on October 21st at Gar-Field HS from 7-9 PM.  In addition, students can attend each high school's various information nights for more program details.

A flyer with more information can be found here!

The Rippon Counseling Team celebrated Purple Up! Day this week as part of April being Month of the Military Child.  Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military, combining Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine red, and Navy blue.

Being located so close to Fort Belvoir and Quantico, we have a large population of students at Rippon who have family members in the military.  These students overcome the difficulties of frequent moves, family deployments, adapting to new school environments, and making new friends on a regular basis.  By the simple gesture of having our staff wear purple today, we want those students to know that we are all here to support them and their families.
