Elizabeth Parsons, 6th Grade Assistant Principal

Elizabeth Parsons is the 6th grade Assistant Principal at Rippon. She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics Education and her Master's of Science in Educational Leadership from Madonna University, in Livonia, Michigan. This is her second year at Rippon (she was an Administrative Intern last year) and she is starting her 20th year in education. Her areas of supervision are sixth grade, Math, Special Education, Rippon Library and staff, the Instructional Technology Coach, and the Parent Liaison. She also oversees the Math & Science Program and Homebound Program.
Mrs. Parsons is a highly motivated and enthusiastic person bringing technology integration skills, current best practices, and differentiation into data-driven instruction. She values everyone in the Student Triangle of Support - the student, the parent, and the teacher because all are necessary for student success. She believes that every child can learn when given the opportunity, and it is the responsibility of educators to create those opportunities. When she isn't at work, she spends time with her family and pets. She is, "All In, Every Day, Whatever It Takes." She is excited for the 2025-2026 school year and is ready to start creating adventures with the Rippon Class of 2028!

Dr. Tom Alexander, 7th Grade Assistant Principal

Dr. Tom Alexander Jr. is an Assistant Principal at Rippon Middle School in Prince William County Public Schools, bringing a unique blend of leadership, service, and educational expertise to his role. A retired Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Alexander served 21 years as a U.S. Army Officer before transitioning into education. His journey in academia began as a middle school English Language Arts teacher, later advancing into administration as an Administrative Intern.
Dr. Alexander holds two doctoral degrees: an Ed.D. from The George Washington University and a D.Min. from Virginia Theological Seminary. His commitment to student success and community engagement is at the heart of his leadership philosophy. He is passionate about fostering meaningful connections with students, families, and stakeholders to create inclusive and empowering learning environments.
A recognized voice in educational leadership, Dr. Alexander has served on the University of Virginia’s K–12 Advisory Council and was honored as one of “Rising Leaders: 10 Standout Assistant Principals and District Leaders You Should Know in 2024.” His dedication to servant leadership and educational equity continues to inspire those around him.

Ryan Pelkey, 8th Grade Assistant Principal

Mr. Ryan Pelkey is a dedicated educational leader with 27 years of experience in the field of education. He currently serves as the Assistant Principal for 8th grade, overseeing the Science/EVOLV/SAC and ESOL programs. A firm believer that teachers should be at the heart of every school, Mr. Pelkey advocates for prioritizing mental health and fostering psychologically safe environments as essential foundations for student and staff success. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania (1994) and a master's in education leadership from Grand Canyon University of Arizona (2010). Beyond his administrative role, Mr. Pelkey is a published author and sought-after public speaker, frequently featured on podcasts where he shares insights on teacher mental health and well-being.

Chevonne King, Admin. Intern

Hello Rippon families! My name is Chevonne King, and I am honored to serve at Rippon Middle School this year. I believe in having a deep commitment to student achievement, inclusive practices, and collaborative leadership. I am passionate about building strong relationships and creating a school environment where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed. As a mother to a college-aged son, I understand the importance of family partnerships in education and look forward to working closely with our students, families, and staff.
As an instructional leader, I believe in proactive, relationship-based approaches that emphasize accountability, empathy, and skill-building. I am committed to fostering a positive school culture where students are encouraged to grow both academically and personally.
Outside of school, I enjoy music, traveling, attending community events, and spending time with family. I’m truly excited to welcome all of our students and families to a new school year filled with growth, connection, and success. Let’s make it a great year—together!

Vantross Medina-White, Dean of Students

Mrs. Vantross Medina-White is proud to serve as the Dean of Students at Rippon MS. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master's in ED/LD Special Education from George Mason University, Mrs. Medina-White brings over 25 years of dedicated experience as a special education teacher in elementary and middle schools across Alexandria City, Fairfax County, and Washington, D.C. Her impressive credentials include National Board Certification for special education and an endorsement in Educational Supervision and Administration PreK-12th from Longwood University. Having lived in Prince William County for 18 years, she is deeply committed to the well-being and success of our students.
As Dean of Students, Mrs. Medina-White aims to cultivate a culturally responsive environment that fosters restorative practices and ensures a safe space for all. She believes that "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world," as stated by Nelson Mandela. By prioritizing a nurturing atmosphere and promoting an inclusive community, she endeavors to empower our students to thrive both academically and personally. Together, we look forward to a wonderful school year filled with growth, learning, and collaboration!
Dr. Nicole Davis, TOSA, Restorative Practice Coach
Dr. Nicole Davis has been at Rippon Middle School since 2020. Prior, Dr. Davis worked for 10 years with the City of Petersburg Public Schools prior to that she worked with the District of Columbia Public Schools and Sussex County Public Schools in rural Southeastern Virginia. Dr. Davis is originally from Prince George, Virginia. She has two children, Charlene and Mondoza.
Dr. Davis began her matriculation at Bennett College for Women, in Greensboro, North Carolina majoring in Business Administration and Economics. She began her journey in education at Virginia State University and obtained a Master of Education in Special Education. In March 2020, she defended her dissertation at Virginia State University. Dr. Davis believes that school should be an oasis for learning, a place where children can grow, in every direction. She is here for the Rippon Community!!
